U.S. Route 71 north of U.S. route 136 to Iowa Line will close today to clear cargo from the shoulder.
The road was closed Monday for a stalled truck. The truck was moved, but the cargo that remains will require a crane to be moved.
The closure will begin at 1 p.m. and is expected to last an hour. Motorists will be detoured across 136 at Burlington Junction to U.S. Route 59.
